Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! When I started this blog it was all about wire crochet jewelry. I fell in love with the first piece I saw and I had to learn how. I was "hooked"!

Two of the girls I used to work with & I have remained close friends through the years. We don't see each other as often as we'd like but we do try to get together three or four times a year. Both of their birthdays are in February and mine is in April. We're getting together Saturday and since their birthdays are this month I decided to make these bracelets as gifts. There are three of them and they are meant to symbolize our friendship. There are two strands of purple which represents amethyst for February and one strand of clear which represents diamond for April.

Hi there! I love wire crochet too! I really like the one with black wire. I've never used color wire and now I feel like the lightbulb has gone off! I haven't spent much time with this technique but my mom said she'd like to make a few more projects. However, she would prefer to use thread than wire. If you have used any kind of thread or yarn and have a preference, can you let me know what kind that is? Thanks a bunch, Lisa C., www.abeadaday.blogspot.com

Hi! I haven't used anything but wire for jewelry. I've seen some books on using thread, though. I'm enjoying your blog! I love crystals, too. I wish we had a local bead shop. I have to drive about 50 miles to one so I mostly order online. Thanks for leaving a comment! Jana

Next time you visit, we'll have to go to the bead shop a few blocks from my house. My boss does beading and he visits the shop every time he's in town from Denver. Come play!!
