Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! When I started this blog it was all about wire crochet jewelry. I fell in love with the first piece I saw and I had to learn how. I was "hooked"!

Blue Turquoise Grotto & Copper Necklace

For this necklace I used a seed bead mix called "Blue Turquoise Grotto", Czech Fire Polished beads in "Blue Turquoise" and "Carnelian", and some "Cinnamon Spice" bicones all crocheted on dark copper wire.  I also crocheted a matching pendant for this one.

I'm not real sure that this color mix makes me think of a grotto but it sure is a pretty name!

I'm the lucky winner of this beautiful bracelet!

One of my favorite blogs is Rose Binoya's blog, Ahtee's Blog.  She says that "making pretty things is what I love doing" and making pretty things is what she does!  She offered this beautiful bracelet as a giveaway on her blog and I was lucky enough to win!  It arrived Monday and it is SO pretty!

I love her logo and packaging...

It was in a pretty box and tied with ribbons. She also enclosed a sweet handwritten note.  I told her that I had just ordered a new turquoise top and that the bracelet would go perfectly with it.  She surprised me with a matching pair of earrings!  How stinkin' cute are they?!  The bracelet and earrings both feature buttons!

Hop on over to her blog where you can shop her Etsy shop, become a fan of her Facebook page and follow her on Twitter!

THANK YOU, ROSE!!!
I LOVE THEM!

"Mother Nature"

I mentioned awhile back that I had bought a box of beads at a garage sale.  These are some more of them.  At the time I thought I'd never use them, just not really my style, but of course I didn't get rid of them!  I was looking through them the other day and saw possibility.  Wood, bone, & turquoise.  Together they all had an organic feel.  I mixed them up and started stringing.  That's the magic of wire crochet!  Just string them up and see what comes out!  Copper seemed to be the accent to use with this scheme.  I used tarnish-resistant copper wire and added a textured copper washer.  The earrings are smaller copper washers that I also added texture to.

I'm sure most everyone already knew this, but I just recently discovered that you can click on the picture and get an enlarged version.  This shows a lot more detail!

"Cierra" Necklace

"Cierra" is created with two sizes of brown seed beads with a slight variation in color and some 4mm cube beads in "metal teal iris matte" which really match the colors and finish of the ceramic pendant. The seed beads appear a little purple in the photo but they are brown! There are three strands, two are crocheted and one is a solid strand, all done on brown wire.
