Glow Bracelets
My granddaughter's 11th birthday is this month and she's having her "girlfriends" party Friday. I'm going to pick them up in the afternoon for swimming, then they have a wienie roast and campout in her backyard planned, along with some "Just Dance" in the garage! Sounds fun, doesn't it? I may have to sneak over there and watch! Can't you just imagine a bunch of 11 year old girls dancing and giggling?
As favors I crocheted these bracelets with bright cotton yarn and Glow in the Dark beads. I thought the glow factor might be fun since they're camping out!
I hope they have a fantastic time and her birthday is as special as she is!

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance...
I hope you dance...

These are so cute! They are going to have so much fun! You are the bestest Grandmother ever :)
Those are awesome! My daughter wants to learn how to crochet. She has a little hook and I bought one myself and a book but we haven't had time to teach ourselves. This would be an AWESOME project to do with her. Is there a pattern someplace? Enjoy the day with her!

What great favors for an 11 year-old's birthday party! I'm sure they will love them!
Can you remember when you where 11...I remember my cousin and I used to sing the Supreme songs together, we thought we were great!
Hope your granddaughter has an amazing party...
Cheers
Awesome Idea! You sound like me, I would have gone straight for the glow beads or the mood beads also! My husband teases me about such things, I say I'm buying them for my niece, nephew and granddautgher, but he knows better. They only get them after I'm finished playing! LOL
Great fun Jana! It reminds me of when I was 11... Which was ????? years ago... oh those were the days! lol I don't think so! Hope everyone had a good time... and what a terrific idea for favors, and glow in the dark ones too. WTG

Hope the party went great! I love the neon colors of the bracelets... reminds me of the glow sticks they sell at concerts and fairs! I can only imagine a gaggle of giggles coming from the group!~ Treasure that innocence!
{Hugs!}
I LOVE THEM! They are so pretty I'm sure they loved them too :) It's times like this I wish I wasn't such a failure at crochet lol.
Happy Beading,
Jessica
