"Treasures of the Sea" features a large shell pendant.
For this wire crochet necklace I used a seed bead mixture in whites and purples, including some with a pearlized finish, to pick up the purple color on the shell. I also added in some small seashells. The sparkling beads, pearls and shells remind me of a deep sea treasure.
This is the first time I've used wire crochet in earrings. I crocheted a very small section with a seashell and a few beads, attached it to the earwire, then attached a shell disk to it.
~Today's Quote~
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right,
and forget about the ones who don't
and believe that everything happens for a reason.
If you get a chance, take it.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said that it would be easy,
they just promised it would be worth it.

I came for the jewelry and was refreshed by reading your thought for the day! I love that. I have said it often to others. Today I think I heard it just for myself. I believe that things happen for a reason. And I also believe that there are those doors of opportunity opening around us all the time. But to take that step, to believe that you are worth the opportunities waiting for you is a big step. But one that I am ready to take! Thanks for the inspiration! Enjoy the day! Erin
Jana, this is a beautiful set! I think the wire crochet earrings turned out beautiful! It's something I've been challenged with as well as earrings are so dainty, the crochet doesn't have a big area to take shape!
You did an excellent job! Love it!
