Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! When I started this blog it was all about wire crochet jewelry. I fell in love with the first piece I saw and I had to learn how. I was "hooked"!

"Autumn" Necklace

(Sigh) ... Summer is ending and we're beginning to feel fall in the air.

This necklace symbolizes the transition from summer to fall. It includes the bright green of summer and the colors of autumn- yellow, orange, red & bronze. There are six strands crocheted with glass beads on non-tarnish bronze wire. I used a brass leaf and a glass leaf shaped bead for the pendant.

~Today's Quote~

"Try to remember the kind of September

When life was slow and oh so mellow

Try to remember the kind of September

When grass was green and grain so yellow"

Do you remember this song? We used to sing it in chorus and I always loved it.

Oh wow, I must say your work REALLY stands out!! As I look through the blog reader and catch up with all my fellow bloggers, your work always seems to stand out! THIS IS REALLY GREAT!! Have you begun entering any magazine or bead company contests yet? You really should consider it!! Hope all is well, Lisa C.

Hi, it's me again! :) Just had a thought about bead crochet. Have you ever tried it with soft flex wire? I have some econoflex I might try. They are or were running a cool contest, you might check out Sara Hardin's Serendipitous designer blog or the softflex site for more info.

I don't remember that song cuz I'm too young. haha. Love the necklace and the symbolism. I just wish it was the beginning of summer again instead of the end.
