Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! When I started this blog it was all about wire crochet jewelry. I fell in love with the first piece I saw and I had to learn how. I was "hooked"!

"Arianna" Amazonite & Cherry Quartz

For this necklace & earring set I used Amazonite and Cherry Quartz. This one was kind of a challenge for myself. The challenge was to use more than one color and be somewhat asymmetrical. I always seem to use various shades of one color and even though I don't usually plan a specific pattern in wire crochet, the beads are fairly balanced as far as size and color. I used a lot of Amazonite chips, tossing in just a few Cherry Quartz beads and a Cherry Quartz chip every now & then.

What a beautiful set! Does this take a long time to create...with all of the small beads? It is gorgeous!

I love how you used the cherry quartz to accent the amazonite! I once used that very same combination for a necklace - http://www.jewelrygeeks.com/user/gallery/album/name_beadinggem/album_149/

Thanks, Cindy! It doesn't really take all that long. Usually it takes longer to string the beads than it does to make the necklace. I have learned a few things along the way to help speed it up, though!
