You can't see it in the picture but the seed beads have a shimmery finish in gold, orange, and hot pink with an overall look of coral. So pretty!
I've taken advantage of the bad weather this weekend and had play time
which makes for happy time!
I had to get really close to show the true color and variety of the beads in this necklace. There are quite a few different sizes and shapes, from large cat's eye to Czech glass flower beads and small sparkly glass beads to small diagonal drilled square cat's eye beads, all in shades of sky blue.
Well, it's a dark rainy day so I couldn't get a very good picture. And snow is in our forecast for tomorrow. Happy Spring, huh?
Attaching to each side of a focal is something I haven't tried before. I used one strand of brown wire and two strands of copper wire with a cluster of copper fire-polished beads on each side and attached them with jump rings. I really like how it turned out.
I'm REALLY ready for summer! Even spring would be nice! The stores have their summer stuff out. The colors are so bright and pretty it inspired me to make another one in summer colors. These are really fun beads. I just couldn't get a picture to show the true colors, bright yellow, bright orange and some lime green. These are glass beads so it's heavy and chunky. It will look really cute with a sunny summer dress.
This necklace is made with an assortment of sparkly black beads and gold seed beads on gold wire. There's a strand of black 3 cut seed beads woven in. The cuts in the seed beads catch the light, too! It has a pretty gold filagree pendant. I really like this one...but then I like them all!
